Today I worked in the greenhouse, and then did some maintenance on the tractor.  Later in the evening, while walking past the sheep pasture, I heard a lamb crying, but I could not see any sheep where the sound was coming from, the lamb sounded very young.  I went to see what was up, and there was a young lamb off by itself in the pasture.  I'd not seen this lamb before, and it seemed to be a day or two old.  All my lambs are 3 months old, and I only have 2 ewes without lambs.  One, an old karakul ewe that could not have gotten pregnant, and the other a year old that could have been bred just before I butchered the young ram lambs last November.   The yearling wanted nothing to do with her lamb, and when I locked them in a jug she just head butted it.  The lamb is very sweet, and living in the laundry room, when she’s not hanging out in the greenhouse.
